About Me
For nine years, I taught at Rossview High School. Eventually, I had to leave education for my mental health. When people hear I was a teacher, they normally say something about “kids these days,” but they couldn’t be more wrong. The kids were the only reason I could show up for as long as I did, because supporting them and watching them grow gave me energy in return.
My favorite hobby during that time was photographing my students’ sports games. I could be there to celebrate their wins and cheer them up after their losses. When I left teaching, I decided to continue working with the best part of the job: the “kids these days.”
Beyond sports, I also enjoy getting to know seniors, highlighting their personalities, and celebrating their achievements through the senior portrait experience. These young adults are amazing and they deserve to see themselves that way through portraiture. Many of my seniors say that their portraits make them feel more confident as they’ve never had someone else’s perspective of them.
I also believe these images should be put up on the wall and seen every day so your child knows they are loved and supported. Your senior’s portraits deserve to live in the real world, not just buried in a gallery you’ll “get to” one day.
