Note: If, for example, it’s August and you’re trying to text a code for a spring sport, the gallery probably won’t be set up yet.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Typically, each athlete gets 3 poses: one used to make the composite team photo, and two that are up to them where they can show their personality. Band members will have a team pose, a formal pose, and a personality pose. JROTC will be one pose each.

    They will show up in the photo gallery as 3 individual photos, a team photo, a memory mate (team + individual), and if applicable, their banner design.

  • Coach should communicate what to wear - typically a complete game day outfit minus shoes. Feet will not be in the final product unless the student strikes a pose with the foot up.

  • After taking their three photos, the senior/8th grader will see them on my camera and tell me which one to make their banner pose. This keeps the workflow moving for everyone, so that the team isn’t waiting for one parent to get back to me a week late. If you have specific expectations for the banner, you should communicate them to your student.

  • PhotoDay is the website that sells these photos to you. They are their own company hosting the gallery.


    Through PhotoDay, you can order smaller prints as well as digital downloads.

  • AdvancePay is PhotoDay’s prepay feature. It is OPTIONAL - you do not have to prepay.

    If you do it, you’ll put down $35 before the gallery is published and that will go towards your order. You will also qualify for free shipping.

    You can wait to see the photos before paying, but you would pay for shipping.

    You will have 14 months to spend the AdvancePay credits before they expire. You can purchase them for one sport but spend them on another - they are tied to your account.

  • PhotoDay offers Basic Retouching on your photos. This is a simple set of automated edits done to the image immediately after your purchase.

    There is no human doing the editing, nor is there one taking edit requests. The computer automatically makes its changes before sending the image to you or to the print lab.

  • No. Banners print from a different source, so I must collect the payments separately.
